Alps discover is a 3D video reenactment of Alps origin has been made for the mine-museum ScopriAlpi (Alps Discover).
The multimedia installation main topic was the tectonic plates clash occurred 65 million years ago, which gave rise to the Alps.
The installation, located within a mining corridor, presents the continents evolution over the ages and takes visitors on a back in time journey.
With 3D video reconstruction technology it has been possible to show the tectonic plates interaction mechanisms and how volcanoes, oceans and mountain ranges arose.
